Soft, tagless camisoles for girls and tweens — to wear on their own or layer under school shirts, the perfect step between undershirts and first bras.
What is a camisole?
A camisole — a "cami" — is a lightweight, sleeveless top with thin straps, worn on its own or as a layer under other clothes. For girls, it's often the first step between undershirts and first bras: a little coverage, a little confidence, zero fuss.
What's the difference between a camisole and a tank top?
Fabric weight and purpose. A tank top is outerwear — thicker straps, sturdier fabric, meant to be seen. A camisole is lighter with delicate straps, designed to layer smoothly under shirts (though it can absolutely stand alone). If it disappears under a tee, it's a cami.
Can a camisole be worn by itself?
Yes. Our camisoles are made with enough coverage and structure to work as a standalone top at home, at sleepovers, or under an open flannel or cardigan anywhere. Whether she wears it alone or layered is entirely her style call.
Are camisoles underwear?
They live in both worlds. Worn under a shirt, a cami functions like an undergarment — smoothing, adding coverage, keeping outer layers from feeling scratchy. Worn on its own, it's simply a top. That flexibility is exactly why it's such a useful first layer for growing girls.
When should a girl start wearing a cami under her shirt?
Whenever she wants one — there's no rule. Many girls start when lighter-weight school shirts feel too sheer, or as a comfortable step before a first bra. Our Jane and Belle camisoles are built exactly for that in-between moment.
