Take Alison Seriously

“To me, what it feels like to be taken seriously means people accept and understand that everyone can be an inspirer, even from the most unlikely sources. You don’t have to have a million views on Youtube or a thousand likes on Instagram to be considered “an important person.” To be taken seriously means, you as an individual, take matters into your own hands to achieve the goals you set for yourself." -Alison

Alison created the vision behind the look of our beloved Star Bra launch! All photos were planned, shot, directed, edited, and selected by her.

"When I was in seventh grade I was the shyest and quietest person I knew. I had no idea that little seventh grade me would grow up to be a creator whose ideals were to inspire people to show their best selves." -Alison

Get to know the girl behind the lense!

  1. Where are you from? Bozeman, MT

  2. Why does photography interest you? I really enjoy photography because it enables me to show the world my point of view.

  3. Favorite yellowberry bra: The Tink Bra.

  4. What’s the last thing you really geeked out about? A new lens. Haha. I’m a photography geek.

  5. Biggest accomplishment? Starting a photography business.

  6. What failures do you most cherish? I am my biggest critic. I used to bully myself into thinking I wasn’t good enough to reach my goals in life. But one day I woke up and realized it was time for those negative thoughts to simmer down and let my confidence show through. I then became more comfortable with who I am and what I wanted to be.

  7. How do you “bring the thunder”? I bring the thunder by being true to myself.

  8. Favorite 90’s jam? I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston.

  9. Favorite movie: We Bought A Zoo.

  10. Favorite book: All the Light We Cannot See or The Book Thief.

  11. Mountains or ocean? Both but mostly mountains.

  12. What is on the top of your bucket list? To travel the world, meet new people, make long lasting memories and just live life to the fullest.

  13. If you could live abroad for a year, where would you live? Sweden. Definitely Sweden.

  14. If you could name a new Yellowberry bra, what would it be called? Either Elm or Pine because trees remind me of christmas and I love christmas.

  15. If you could be anything for a day, what would you be? I would want to be a cat or a dog because I could just sleep all day.

  16. If you could change anything about the world, what would it be? I wish that everyone would be more kind to one another.

  17. What superpower would you have? To be able to fly. Because then I wouldn’t have to spend money on an airplane ticket to travel the world.

  18. How are you a role model? I’m not really sure if I’m a role model, but a lot of people tell me I inspire them so I guess in that sense I’m a role model because I strive to inspire and make a change in the world.

  19. What defines a role model? Someone who is willing to put others before themselves and wants to impact someone else’s life in a positive way.

"It took a few years for others to understand that inspiration comes from literally everywhere and from anyone. Being a female photographer nowadays in a society of several male photographers is challenging, but I let my work speak for itself. I can truly say that I will continue to inspire, create and share my views on life, even if I’m a small fish in a big pond.” -Alison
